Consultation has concluded. Thank you for your participation.
Our parks and trails help to define our high quality of life in many ways.
They encourage active lifestyles and active transportation, support recreational activities and special events, preserve natural heritage and wildlife habitat, strengthen tourist and economic development, and contribute to healthy communities.
We are committed to ensuring that the parks and trails system continues to meet resident needs into the future.
To achieve this, we have prepared a Parks and Trails Master Plan that sets priorities for improving and expanding our parks, open space and trail network over the next 10 years. Thank you to everyone who participated in our community engagement.

An online survey
is available on this page. The survey asks questions about park and
trail usage, needs and priorities. It takes about 10 minutes to complete
and will be available until September 30, 2019.
You may attend an open house session
to learn more about the project and to provide input for consideration
in the Master Plan. This is a drop-in event with no formal presentation –
project information will be available and the project team will be on
hand to receive your input.
