Why do we need a West End Secondary Plan?
The purpose of the West Wasaga Secondary Plan (WWSP) is to create a land use plan for the west end of Wasaga Beach that will include policies for sustainably guiding its growth into a complete community. The WWSP will consider the Town’s employment, commercial, residential, infrastructure, urban design, recreational, and natural heritage needs. Within the WWSP Study Area shown above, intensification is to be focused within the emerging Node surrounding Highway 26 and the corridor of Beachwood Road and Lyons Court. The WWSP will help the Town respond to residential and commercial development pressures within the west end by providing clear direction and guidance to help achieve the Town's objectives.
